SendLocation is a compact utility designed for users seeking a solution to automatically transmit their location to a designated server and script. The application simplifies the process by allowing users to specify their server and script preferences, thereafter handling the rest seamlessly.

• SendLocation offers support for background updating, enabling location updates even when the application is not actively in use. Notably, the app utilizes iOS 4's feature to detect "significant" location changes, often occurring during transitions between mobile network cells.
• Through custom script creation, users can leverage various functionalities such as:

1. Publishing their location on a personal webpage.
2. Setting up a personalized "locate my iPhone" service.
3. Automating email notifications to contacts when in proximity.

The HTTP GET-method follows a specific format with parameters like latitude, longitude, speed, heading, accuracy values, altitude, device ID, battery status, timestamp, and background processing status. Users are required to input their server and script details in the application settings accordingly.

Included in the data sent is the current speed (calculated via GPS points) and direction of travel. Notably, SendLocation can transmit location updates at 5-second intervals when active in the foreground.
